Samsung to release Symbian handsets

Rumors are all around that Samsung will be releasing a Symbian-powered handset later this year. No one knows the effect of this release on the relatively successful Omnia HD, which incidentally is the last Symbian device offered by Samsung.  Do tell us about your opinion that will Samsung go for a multi OS strategy? After all the well known company (Samsung) already have smart phones running on Android, Limo, bada, Symbian and windows mobile platforms.

Palm will survive – CEO “Jon Rubinstein”

According to the CEO of Palm Mr. Jon Rubinstein, the company can survive as an independent company and it will not  need to be taken over in order to continue its business. As the company is facing the problems of low revenues and decreased sales, the survival seems to be very challenging. According to the CEO – Jon Rubinstein, the company still has 592 Millions of cash which will assist them to buy time for the recovery.  Further more, he also showed interest in availing any better opportunity whether it will be in the form of strategic partnership or licensing webOS out to other companies. Apple to Buy AMD?

Few days back an alleged meeting between the executives of AMD and Apple Inc concluded the idea all over the web that Apple might use the AMD processors. No doubt, its a hassle on the design side but the financial side is in the favor of Apple because the AMD processors are cheaper and of low cost. Rob Enderle explained further and suggested that “If Apple were to dump Intel, it might actually be in the market to buy AMD” eCommerce Times report. Earth Quake in Islamabad

Earth quake shocks have been felt in many areas in Pakistan, which includes Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Mansehra and other northern areas. It was felt on 1:53 a.m. and the duration of the shocks was more than 2 minutes. The scale has not yet been confirmed.
